Desde entonces, se ha producido algunas mejoras, especialmente a nivel jurídico que aumentan la protección de la infancia y la adolescencia frente a la ESIA, como por ejemplo la aprobación de la tan esperada Ley Orgánica de Protección Integral de la Infancia y la Adolescencia frente a la Violencia (LOPIVI).
